Pakistan Women won by 2 runs (DLS method)

Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi (D/N), ICC Womens World T20, 2016
PAKW 77/6 (16.0 Ovs)
INDW 96/7 (20.0 Ovs)

Phewf! That's a wrap of this game. Recharge yourself! Some high-octane stuff is awaiting you. Call it pyrotechnics, hubbub, brouhaha, fierce-frenemy-fight......Fill in your favourite nouns and adjectives. Just a few moments before Eden Gardens becomes the most happening place in India. Inarguably? Hop tabs and catch all the hip-hop from the big game. On behalf of scorer Mani this is Raju Peethala greeting goodbye and good night. Have a ball!!
Pakistan approached the chase sensibly - Pounced on some poor bowling and kept the scorecard ticking. At one point they seemed cruising through but a rozzer of a catch from Mithali Raj pushed Pakistan on the back foot. Some mindless running followed, and I'm sure we would have witnessed a jaw-dropping finish had it not been for the heavy-refusing-to-relent-rain. What an anticlimax!
Mithali Raj: 'Their bowlers stuck to the the plans and they certainly put us under pressure right from the start. We play England in Dharamsala and hopefully we will get a game there. The next 2 games are going to be very crucial for India.'
Sana Mir: 'We have played them quite often and we know their strengths. We wanted to put them under pressure right from the word go and i think the fast bowlers did a great job for us. We have won games by 1 run and lost by couple of runs. We as a team, take a lot of pride in our bowling and fielding. Good that we got such a pressure game so early and definitely it will be a huge morale boost for us. The kind of impact this win is going to have is huge. Definitely a huge impact on the coming generations.'
Here's how the teams stand in group B:
India: Played - 2. Won - 1. Lost - 1.
England: Played - 1. Won - 1.
West Indies: Played - 1. Won - 1.
Pakistan: Played - 2. Won - 1, lost - 1.
Bangladesh: Played - 2, lost 2.
'The only plan I had was to bowl dot balls in the power play. This is the second successive player of the match for me in 3 days. I just wanted to bowl perfect line and length and the key is to bowl dot balls' as said by Sana Mir on behalf of Anam Amin who is the Player of the Match
The Pakistani women are absolutely ecstatic. Jumping up and down in joy. Some wild celebrations follow...
